Obituary: Wayne Edgar Cabral, 71, Lexington, formerly of Bardstown

Wayne Edgar Cabral, 71, of Lexington, formerly of Bardstown, died March 10, 2014. A memorial service is 4 p.m. Sunday, April 27, 2014, at the Episcopal Church of the Ascension, 211 N. Third St., Bardstown.

He was an educator and historian and was a social studies teacher at Danville High School and a faculty member at Bethlehem High School, Lexington Community College and St. Catharine College in Springfield. He shared his love of history with students throughout the state in his work for the Kentucky Historical Society when he drove the “Historymobile,” a traveling museum, through the state. He was a member of the Episcopal Church of the Ascension in Bardstown.
