Intoxicated man pushing baby stroller charged in thefts from vehicles

Monday, April 28, 2014, 11:15 a.m. — A 21-year-old Bardstown man was arrested this morning after he was spotted pushing an empty baby stroller down West Broadway at 1:31 a.m.
Bardstown Police Officers Jeremy Cauley and Shannon Hall found Austin Keating pushing the baby stroller, but it was not empty. The stroller contained items police believe may have been taken from vehicles, including a GPS unit, jumper cables, a flashlight, a radio and a cell phone charger. Police located several nearby vehicles with their doors open. Officers located some of the owners of the stolen items and returned their property to them.
Keating was arrested and charged with theft by unlawful taking and alcohol intoxication in a public place. He was also charged with disorderly conduct after he became belligerent with police and began yelling profanities. He was lodged in the Nelson County Jail.
