Monday, May 5, 2014, 11:01 a.m. — A Mount Washington man was arrested Friday after he allegedly forced his way into a Bardstown home and assaulted the male resident with brass knuckles.
Lance M. Glaser Jr., 32, was arrested after police investigated a domestic dispute at 122 Scotch Court just after noon on Friday.
When police arrived at the residence, they were given a description of a suspect who fled on foot. As Officer Tom Blair was responding to the 911 call, he had observed an individual matching the suspect’s description getting in a silver 2003 Honda parked in the Down Home Barbecue parking lot. Blair and Bardstown Police Chief Rick McCubbin pursued the Honda and caught up with it at North Third Street at Flamingo Drive. Glaser was arrested without incident.
Police determined Glaser forced his way into the Scotch Court residence, assaulted and detained the resident and beat him over a 2-1/2 hour period. The victim’s estranged wife returned to the home, prompting Glaser to take a shirt from the home and flee.
Police found Glaser wearing the shirt which he used to cover his own bloodied shirt. The brass knuckles were found in the vehicle. He was charged with first-degree assault; second-degree burglary; unlawful imprisonment; theft by unlawful taking; and tampering with physical evidence. He was lodged in the Nelson County Jail.
The victim was taken to Flaget Memorial Hospital for treatment of multiple head and face wounds.
