Obituary: Shirley Ann Reed Boone, 76, of Fern Creek, formerly of Bardstown
Shirley Ann Reed Boone, 76, of Fern Creek, formerly of 
Bardstown, died Monday, May 5, 2014, after a long illness.
She was born Jan. 11, 1938, in Nelson County. She was a native of Woodlawn and a member of the Woodlawn-Beech Fork United Methodist Church. She was a homemaker who loved her family.
She was preceded in death by parents, J.T. and Zelma Reed; and one sister, Bonnie Houck.
She is survived by her husband, Charles D. Boone of Fern Creek; one daughter, Debbie Stemmle (Danny); one brother, Tommy Reed (Sue); one sister, Sue Mary Downs (Glenn); and two grandchildren, Katie Flahiff (Billy) and Nicholas Stemmle.
The funeral is 10 a.m. Thursday, May 8, 2014, at Fern Creek Funeral Home, 5406 Bardstown Road with burial in the Bardstown Cemetery. The Rev. Bill Greer will officiate.
Visitation is 11 a.m– 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 7, 2014, and 9-10 a.m. Thursday, May 8, 2014, at the funeral home.
