Obituary: Michael Allen ‘Mike’ Douglas, 72, of Boston
Michael Allen “Mike” Douglas, 72, of Boston, died Friday, May 2, 2014, at Jewish Hospital South. He was a Catholic who was born and raised in New Haven by his late parents, Thomas Clarence and Theresa Cissell Douglas. He was a self-employed logger by trade.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Rose Bray and Zella Edlin; three brothers, Earl Douglas, Everett Douglas and Clarence Douglas; and one son-in-law, Joel Bishoff.
He is survived by his wife, Ann Clark Douglas; three daughters, Joanie Rogers (Les), of Boston, Patricia “Trish” Koch (Donald) and Laura Bell Douglas, both of New Haven; two sons, Ricky “Slick” Douglas and Keith Douglas (Jonna), both of Boston; one brother, Jimmy Douglas (Shirley) of Boston; one sister-in-law, Mary Helena Douglas; 11 grandchildren, Johnathon Douglas, Nichole Douglas, Austin Douglas, Chelsey Douglas and Sam Douglas, Makayla Rogers, Josh Douglas, Jason Nalley, Matt Newton, Eric Newton and May Ann Bell; four great-grandchildren, Trinity Fenwick, Emerson Fenwick, Grace Parkerson and Arria Newton; and several nieces and nephews and cousins.
The Funeral Mass was 11 a.m. Monday, May 5, 2014, at St. Catherine of Alexandria Catholic Church in New Haven with the Rev. Troy Overton officiating.
