Bardstown man indicted on sexual abuse, rape, sodomy and incest charges
Wednesday, May 7, 2014, 7 p.m. — A Bardstown man was indicted by a Nelson County Grand Jury Wednesday, May 7, 2014, on charges of sexual abuse, rape, sodomy and incest.
Christopher Bothwell, 35, was indicted on seven counts of first-degree sexual abuse, four counts of incest, three counts of second-degree sodomy and one count of second-degree rape.
According to the indictment, between Jan. 1 and Oct. 30, 2013, Bothwell allegedly engaged in sexual intercourse and deviate sexual intercourse with a relative under the age of 14 who was incapable of consent. Bail was set at $100,000 cash only plus conditions.
Arraignment was set for 1 p.m. Thursday, May 22, 2014.
