Obituary: Marion Howard Nichols, Jr., 41, Bardstown

MARION HOWARD NICHOLS

Marion Howard Nichols, Jr., 41, of Bardstown, died Saturday, May 10, 2014, at his home. He was a native of Nelson County and a former truck driver and mechanic with Trade Winds Transit Inc. in Bardstown.

Survivors include his parents, Marion “Nick” and Ann Gardner Nichols of Holy Cross; one daughter, Kelsey Ann Nichols at home; two sisters, Rachel Pettit (Mark) of Bardstown and Lynn Cederquist of New Haven; and two brothers, David Nichols of Holy Cross and Daren Nichols of Lebanon.

A Mass of Christian Burial is 10 a.m. Thursday, May 15, 2014, at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 3560 North Saint Francis Road, Loretto, with burial in the church cemetery. The Rev. Troy Overton will be the celebrant.

Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Wednesday, May 14, 2014, at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto, with a prayer service at 7 p.m. by Deacon Joseph R. Dant.

Pallbearers are Todd Gardner, Mark Gardner, Allen Metcalf, Paul Gardner, Brandon Gardner and Brandon Bartley.
