Democratic candidates for sheriff featured on special Friday ‘Brooks & Company’

Thursday, May 15, 2014 — The Democrat candidates seeking the nomination for Nelson County sheriff in next Tuesday’s May primary are the guests of a special Friday edition of “Brooks & Company” at 11 a.m. on 97.1 FM, 1320 AM WBRT.

Brooks Houck and Ed Mattngly will join host Jim Brooks on to discuss their qualifications for sheriff and the unique qualities each brings to the table.

The sheriff’s office has a range of responsibilities, from tax collection to court security, from law enforcement to handling prisoner transport. The winner of the May primary goes on to face Republican J.T. Fulkerson in the November general election.
