Two-vehicle injury crash shuts down North Third early Friday afternoon

emslogoFriday, May 30, 2014, 4 p.m. — A two-vehicle injury accident at the railroad crossing shut down all traffic on North Third Street for about an hour early Friday afternoon.  The Bardstown Fire Department was called to the accident scene at about 1:30 Friday afternoon due to hazardous fluids leaking from one of the vehicles in the crash that involved an SUV and an unmarked Bardstown Police car.

Nelson County EMS transported the 54-year-old female driver of one of the vehicles to Flaget Memorial Hospital with a minor head injury and head pain. The other vehicle in the crash was driven by Bardstown Police Detective Lynn Davis.
