MARY HELEN MITCHELL ANDREWS

Mary Helen Mitchell Andrews, 55, of Bardstown, died Friday, May 30, 2014, at Flaget Memorial Hospital in Bardstown. She was born and raised in New Haven. She married and raised her family in Hodgenville and was currently living in Bardstown. She was a member of the Souls Harbor Assembly of God Church, where she was an active member and a certified Sunday school teacher. She was employed as a shipping clerk with the Catholics United St. Martin de Porres Dominican Community Inc. She was a Mary Kay representative and a mentor to many.

She was preceded in death by her husband Doyle Wayne Andrews; her father, Shelby Howard Dorsey; and one brother, Joseph Allen Dorsey.

She is survived by her mother, Anna Catherine Mitchell Dorsey of Bardstown; two sons, DeWayne Andrews and Sean Andrews, both of Bardstown; two sisters, Mary Cecilia Maddox (Kenny) of Bardstown and Elizabeth Ann Dorsey of Hodgenville; three brothers, Chuck Dorsey (Wanda), Freddy Dorsey and Gene Dorsey, all of Bardstown; four grandchildren, Jadyn, Tyrell, Kaden and Keegan; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral is 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 3, 2014, at the Joseph L. Greenwell Funeral Home in New Haven with Bro. Dave Conway offciating. Burial is in the Hubbard Cemetery in Hodgenville.

Visitation is 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 3, 2014, at the funeral home.

Memorial donations may be made at the Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.
