Obituary: Roy Peyton Wigginton, 88, Bardstown

Roy Peyton Wigginton, 88, of Bardstown, died Friday, May 30, 2014, at Baptist Health Hospital in Louisville. He was born Oct. 21, 1925, in Louisville. He was a retired farmer and former owner of the Bardstown Cab Co. He was of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by one daughter, Gail White; one son, Curtis Peyton Wigginton; and one brother, Billy Stansbury.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Wigginton of Bardstown; one daughter, Joy Bowman of Bardstown; two sisters, Beverly Hovious of Florida and Linda Piper of Bardstown; five grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral is 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 3, 2014, at Barlow Funeral Home with burial in Highland Memory Gardens in Mount Washington with Pastor Darrell Goodlett officiating.

Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Monday, June 2, 2014, and 9-11 a.m. Tuesday, June 3, 2014, at the funeral home.

Barlow Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
