PATTY THOMPSON RITCHIE
Patty Thompson Richie, 67, of Bardstown, died Sunday, June 1, 2014, at her home. She was born Jan. 26, 1947, in Louisville. She was a graduate of University of Kentucky, a member the UK Alumni Association, Delta Gamma Society, and a supporter of the Humane Society.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Curtis Bethel and Nannie Burkeen Thompson.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas P. Richie; four daughters, Barbara Blackstone and Teresa Stine, both of Bardstown, Deborah Richie-Bray of California, and Rose Mary Watson-Jones of Louisville; two sisters, JoAnn Reeds of Finley, Ohio and Janet Enslein of Davenport, Iowa; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
The funeral is 11 a.m. Thursday, June 5, 2014, at Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home with burial in Cave Hill Cemetery. The Rev. Bill Hammer will officiate.
Visitation is 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, June 3, 2014, noon-7 p.m. Wednesday, June 4, 2014, and after 8:30 a.m. Thursday, June 5, 2014, at the funeral home.
The family has requested that contributions be made to ALS Organization or ASPCA.org.
The Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home in Bardstown is in charge of arrangements.
