Obituary: Ella M. Sowder, 80, Cox’s Creek, formerly of Clearwater, Fla.
Ella M. Sowder, 80, of Clearwater, Fla., died Monday, June 2, 2014, at her daughters home in Cox’s Creek. She was 
born May 18, 1935, in Bullitt County. For the past 33 years she was a resident of Clearwater, Fla., where she worked as a waitress/hostess.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Shelton Sowder; one daughter, Lisa Hassler; her parents, Squire and Agnes Jackson Tinnell; a special friend of 33 years, Ronald Callahan; one sister; and one brother.
She is survived by two daughters, Kathy Foster of Louisville and Jenny (Jim) Johnson of Cox’s Creek; one son, Greg (Marsha) Sowder of Louisville; eight grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.
The family followed her wishes and cremation was chosen. There will not be any public visitation or services.
The Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
