Obituary: Hollis Eugene Hodges, 70, Elizabethtown

Hollis Eugene Hodges, 70, of Elizabethtown, died Monday, June 2, 2014, at his home. He was retired from General Electric with several years of service. He was a member of Locust Grove Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Hollis Lee and Mary Elizabeth Durrett Hodges; and one uncle, Oswald Hodges.

He is survived by his wife, Marnie Ballard Hodges of Elizabethtown; one daughter Renaulta (Brian) Newton of Elizabethtown; three sisters, Sheila (Phillip) Thompson and Linda (Harlen) Warren, both of Hodgenville, and Barbara (James) Baumgardner of Franklin, Ind.; one aunt, Geraldine Nichols of Hodgenville; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The funeral is 2 p.m. Saturday, June 7, 2014, at the William R. Rust Funeral Home Hodgenville Chapel with the Rev. Mike Aldridge and the Rev. Don Kennedy officiating. Burial is in the Red Hill Cemetery in Hodgenville.

Visitation is 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, June 7, 2014, at the funeral home.

The William R. Rust Funeral Home Hodgenville Chapel, 612 North Lincoln Blvd, is in charge of the arrangements.
