Woman injured in two-vehicle head-on collision on Louisville Road

Monday, June 9, 2014, 3 a.m. — Nelson County EMS, police and the Bardstown Fire Department were called out to a head-on crash in the 3600 block of Louisville Road north of Bardstown at 1:30 Monday morning.  The driver of one of the vehicles required the assistance of the fire department who used their rescue tools to force open the door of her wrecked car. EMS transported the 58-year-old woman to Flaget Memorial Hospital complaining of chest pain. Firefighters were on the scene for about 40 minutes.
