Listeners invited to call in, sound off on today’s ‘Brooks & Co.’ on WBRT
STAFF REPORT
Tuesday, June 10, 2014, 7 a.m. – Today’s “Brooks & Company” is “Open Lines Tuesday,” giving listeners an opportunity to sound-off on the issues they wish to discuss.
Among today’s topics: The Obama Administration’s deal to swap five combatants from Gitmo for U.S. Sergeant Bergdahl; student loan debt — should we expect those who borrow money for college to pay it all back? President Obama signed an executive order expanding the “Pay As You Earn” program, that allows student loan borrows to pay a percentage of their income for 10 years and have the rest forgiven.
If you have a college student or high school student looking for employment this summer, you aren’t alone. What’s changed in the youth employment market, and why can’t our kids find jobs? The Wall Street Journal says it is because the President’s policies have made it more expensive to create jobs; what are your thoughts on this problem?
And as always, listeners are invited to sound off on the issues and topics that are important to you.
