Bardstown fire dept. welcomes six new volunteer firefighters

Wednesday, June 18, 2014, 11:40 a.m. — On Monday, six new volunteer firefighters joined the ranks of The Bardstown-Nelson County Volunteer Fire Department.

BRENT LEE. Lee is a fulltime firefighter with the Pleasure Ridge Park Fire Department in Louisville.

ROBERT SEADLER. Seadler is also a full time PRP firefighter. He is a part-time paid employee also with the department as well as a volunteer.

CHRIS KURTZ. Kurtz is a fulltime firefighter with the Fern Creek Fire Department. He is a part-time employee of Nelson County EMS and also the Bardstown-Nelson County Volunteer Fire Department.

JEREMY BASS. Bass is a fulltime Louisville firefighter who is now a parttime employee of the BNCVFD.

AARON SMITH. Smith is a fulltime firefighter/police/EMS with the Louisville Airport Authority.

JEREMY DOWNARD. Downard is an employee of Gordon Food Service and has served as a volunteer firefighter for other departments before moving to the area.
