Nelson Circuit Court Indictments–June 18, 2014

indictmentThursday, June 18, 2014 – The following people were indicted by a Nelson County grand jury on Wednesday, June 18, 2014. They are scheduled for arraignment Thursday, July 3, 2014, unless otherwise indicated.

14-CR-136. James R. Harris, 52, Bloomington, Ind., theft by unlawful taking or disposition, part/contents form a vehicle, $500 or more but under $10,000.

According to the indictment, on May 2, 2014, Harris allegedly took vehicle parts, including eight tractor-trailer tires belonging to Trade Winds Transit having a value of $500 or more but less than $10,000. Bail was set at $5,000 cash only, plus conditions.

14-CR-137. Joseph D. Wade Jr., 35, Cox’s Creek, theft by unlawful taking or disposition, automobile, $500 or more but under $10,000.

According to the indictment, between February and March 28, 2014, Wade allegedly took a 1997 Ford Crown Victoria four-door sedan belonging to another person having a value of $500 or more but less than $10,000. Bail was set at $5,000 cash only, plus conditions.

14-CR-138. Brandon Staten, 26, Bardstown, trafficking in controlled substances, first-degree, less than 2 grams methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

According to the indictment, on May 26, 2014, Staten was allegedly found in possession drug paraphernalia and less than two grams of methamphetamine with the intent to sell or distribute it. Bail was set at $5,000 cash only, plus conditions.

14-CR-139. Bradley L. Spalding, 21, Bardstown, possession of a controlled substance, first-degree; possession of a controlled substance, third-degree; possession of drug paraphernalia; possession of prescription not in a proper container.

According to the indictment, on May 25, 2014, Spalding allegedly was found in possession of heroin, drug paraphernalia and buprenorphine pills not in the proper prescription container. Bail was set at $5,000 cash only, plus conditions.

14-CR-140. Edward Allen Adcock, 41, Shepherdsville, flagrant non-support.

According to the indictment, between Aug. 26, 2011 and June 6, 2014, Adcock allegedly failed to pay support he was ordered to pay, resulting in an arrearage of $22,557. Bail was set at $5,000 cash only, plus conditions.

14-CR-141. Bradley Gerald Byrd, 36, Chaplin, flagrant non-support.

According to the indictment, between Nov. 15, 2013 and June 6, 2014, Byrd allegedly failed to pay support he was ordered to pay, resulting in an arrearage of $2,027.38. Bail was set at $5,000 cash only, plus conditions.

14-CR-142. Roger W. Fink, 36, Shelbyville, flagrant non-support.

According to the indictment, between Sept. 1, 2012 and April 30, 2014, Byrd allegedly failed to pay support he was ordered to pay, resulting in an arrearage of more than $11,716.96. Bail was set at $5,000 cash only, plus conditions.

14-CR-143. Brandon W. Bishop, 26, Lexington, trafficking in controlled substances, first-degree, two or more grams methamphetamine; possession of drug paraphernalia; persistent felony offender, first-degree.

According to the indictment, on April 21, 2014, Bishop allegedly possessed drug paraphernalia and two or more grams of methamphetamine with the intent to sell or distribute it. The indictment cites Bishop’s previous felony convictions as the basis of the persistent felony offender charge. Bail was set at $50,000 cash only, plus conditions.
