JOSEPH GARY MATTINGLY

Joseph Gary Mattingly, 64, of Loretto, died Friday, June 20, 2014, at his home. He was born April 7, 1950, in Marion County. He was a retired employee of G.E. Appliance Park and a veteran of the U.S. Army.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Daniel and Addie Mayola Carrico Mattingly.

Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Stephanie Essex Mattingly; three daughters, Melinda Peterson (Kevin) of Loretto, Tabatha Hamilton of Manton and Jessica Mattingly of St. Francis; two sisters, Charlotte Mattingly (Ricky) and Diane Bradshaw, both of Lebanon; one brother, Cooper Mattingly (Mary Margaret) of Loretto; and six grandchildren, Dylan Peterson, Wyatt Hamilton, Taylor Clark, Emmy Hamilton, Aliyah Mattingly and Noah Mattingly.

The Mass of Christian Burial is 11 a.m. Monday, June 23, 2014, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 6785 Highway 52, St. Francis with the Rev. George Illikkal and Rev. Emil Kandor concelebrating. Burial is in the church cemetery with military rites conducted by the Marion County Veterans Honor Guard.

Visitation is 3-9 p.m. Sunday, June 22, 2014, at the Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto, with a prayer service at 7 p.m. with Deacon Joseph R. Dant.

The Mattingly Funeral Home in Loretto is in charge of arrangements.
