Obituary: Ray Spain, 56, Boston

Ray Spain, 56, of Boston, died Sunday, June 15, 2014, at his home. He was a driver for UPS, where he worked for 30 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Kathleen Doans Spain; and one brother, Joseph Randall Spain.

Survivors include two sisters, Carol Fulton (John) and Pat Vittitow (Ed McFarland); two nieces, Jessica McLean and Julia Downs; five nephews, Joshua Vittitow, Steven, Mark, Michael and Daniel Spain; and his special friend, Darlene Hodge.

The funeral was Friday at St. Catherine Catholic Church in New Haven with the Rev. Scott Wimsett officiating. Burial was in the Rolling Fork Cemetery.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contribution to the WHAS Crusade for Children.

Kappel Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
