BETTY McGINNIS
Betty McGinnis, 74, of Bardstown, died Tuesday, June 24, 2014, at her home. She was born Aug. 7, 1939, in Lebanon. She was a department manager at Wal-Mart and a member of Bardstown Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Marshall and Cora Mae Routine Bright; five sisters, Lucy Spurling, Geneva Gadberry, Inez Bright, Judy Marvell Bright and Frances Mann; and three brothers, Carl Bright, Horace Bright and George Graham Bright.
She is survived by her husband, Aubrey E. McGinnis, Jr. of Bardstown; one daughter, Melissa Metcalf of Bardstown; two sons, Terry (Annette) McGinnis of Loretto and Gary (Elsie) McGinnis of Bardstown; three sisters, Goldie Brady of Lebanon, Dorothy Rucker of Bardstown and Diane Clark of Campbellsville; three brothers, Leonard Bright, Tony Bright and Alton Bright, all of Campbellsville; and three grandchildren, Nicholas A. Metcalf of Bardstown, Matthew B. (Jessica) McGinnis and family of Boston, and Crystal Michelle (Mikie) Hughes and family of Springfield.
The funeral is 11 a.m. Thursday, June 26, 2014, at Barlow Funeral Home in Bardstown with burial in the Bardstown Cemetery with the Rev. Danny Haynes officiating.
Visitation is 2–8 p.m. Wednesday, June 25, 2014, and 9–11 a.m. Thursday, June 26, 2014, at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may go to Bardstown Baptist Church Fellowship Hall.
