Obituary: Melissa Kay Brown Miracle, 50, Hodgenville
Melissa Kay Brown Miracle, 50, of Hodgenville, died Tuesday, June 24, 2014, at Norton Pavilion in Louisville after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.
She was born and raised by her late parents, Willie and Alice Heath Brown, in Buffalo. She was a Baptist by faith and a member of the Rolling Fork Baptist Church in Boston. She was an employee of Nationwide Uniform Corp. in Hodgenville, and a loving wife, mother and sister who will be greatly missed.
Along with her parents she was also preceded in death by two nieces, Melissa Kingery and Melissa Eades.
Survivors include her husband, Homer “JR” Miracle Jr. of Hodgenville; two sons, Chris Miracle of Hodgenville and Matt Miracle (Katlyn) of Vine Grove; nine siblings, Carolyn Kingery (Marion) of Salt Lake City, Utah, Mary Blevins (Mike) of Brandenburg, Pat Hatfield, Michelle McNunn and Marsha Warren (Larry), all of Hodgenville, Charles Brown (Margaret) of Campbellsville and Barry Eades (Rita), Russell Brown (Bonnie) and Paul Brown (Angela), all of Buffalo; her father and mother-in-law, Homer and Pauline Miracle of New Haven; two grandsons, Elysiah Miracle and Benjamin Miracle; and many nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
The funeral is noon Friday, June 27, 2014, at the Rolling Fork Baptist Church in Boston with Bro. Bruce Nichols presiding. Burial and burial at the church cemetery.
Visitation is 1-8 p.m. Thursday, June 26, 2014, at the Joseph L. Greenwell Funeral Home in New Haven and 10 a.m. to noon Friday, June 27, 2014, at the Rolling Fork Baptist Church in Boston.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to the Joseph L. Greenwell Funeral Home P.O. Box 65, New Haven KY 40051 to help with funeral expenses.
