Sr. Carina Vetter, 94, of Nerinx, formerly of Missouri, died Thursday, June 26, 2014, at the Loretto Motherhouse Infirmary at Nerinx.

She was born Nov. 6, 1919, in Jefferson City, Mo. She entered religious life in 1941 and received her final vows in 1947. She earned her degree in Elementary Education from A.B. Webster College, Webster Groves, M0., in 1953. Her local assignments included St. Benedict School in Louisville in 1944 and Manton Public School in Manton in 1951. She also taught in Virginia, Missouri and Illinois.

A Mass of Christian Burial is 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 2, 2014, at the Loretto Motherhouse Church, 515 Nerinx Road, Nerinx, with burial in the Motherhouse Cemetery.

A wake service is 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 1, 2014, at the Motherhouse.

Mattingly Funeral Home in Loretto is in charge of arrangements.
