Obituary: Roy James Ross Jr., 93, Louisville
Roy James Ross Jr., 93, of Louisville, died Wednesday, July 2, 2014, at Life Care Center in Bardstown. He was a native of Indiana, a retired employee of LG&E, a retired farmer and a U.S. Coast Guard Veteran of WWII.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Juanita Woods Ross; his parents, Katherine Lehan and Roy James Ross Sr.; three sisters, Mary Jane Ross, Evelyn Knott, and Frances Macguire; and two grandchildren.
He is survived by one daughter, Sandra (Donald) Johnson of Bloomfield; one stepson, Joseph L. (Virginia) Clark of Louisville; six grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; and a special friend, Betty Devers.
The funeral is 11 a.m. Monday, July 7, 2014, at the Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home in Bardstown with the Rev. Karl Lusk officiating. Burial is in the Evergreen Cemetery in Louisville.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Sunday, July 6, 2014, and 10-11 a.m. Monday, July 7, 2014, at the funeral home.
The Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
