JAMES ALVIN ‘JIM’ WHITE

James Alvin “Jim” White, Sr., 78, made his way HOME peacefully in his sleep on Friday, July 4, 2014, to be with the Lord. While his passion was being Pastor of Full Gospel Christian Center in Bardstown, he was a retired truck driver with Local 89. He retired from law enforcement in Spencer County and was an auctioneer for the past 40 years. He never met a stranger and lived every day to its fullest.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and a sister.

He leaves behind his loving and devoted wife and co-pastor, Irene White; his children, Rockie (Lockard), Jim White Jr (Linda), Jesse White (Krista), Kenny White (Margie), John Dunn (Sandy), James Dunn (Pam), Jerry Dunn (Carrie), and Jason Dunn (Anita); more than 70 grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a multitude of family and friends who will miss his smiling face. We’ll meet you when our chores are through.

A memorial service to honor his life is 2 p.m. Sunday, July 13, 2014, at Faith Worship Center, 3160 Bloomfield Rd. in Bardstown.

The Newcomer Funeral Home in Louisville is in charge of arrangements.
