Wednesday, July 9, 2014, 5 p.m. — Fans of WBRT broadcast legend Fred Hagan can now watch him in action live each brtvmainjuly9morning thanks to new broadcast hours added this week by Hometown Television BRTV, Bardstown Cable ch. 19.

Listeners can now watch their favorite WBRT morning hosts live in the studio, including Fred Hagan’s “Wake Up With Fred” radio show from 7:30-9 a.m., the popular, long-running “Party Line” program at 10 a.m., and other varied programming in the 11 a.m. to noon slot, which includes “Local Community Scene” on Tuesday, “Brooks & Company” on Wednesday, and “Ag Extension Today,” every second and fourth Thursday.

According to Roth Stratton, WBRT’s managing partner, the changes create new avenues for the local audience to receive and enjoy WBRT content. “It adds a unique visual element to what people have enjoyed while listening to the radio,” he said.

The station staff are working to add more visuals to the televised morning programs, Stratton said.

The changes follow the debut several weeks ago of “Talk of the Town” with Gregg Anderson, which broadcasts weeknights except Wednesday from 5:30 to 7 p.m. — including a live televised BRTV video segment from 6:30-7 p.m.

In addition to “Talk of the Town” four nights a week, BRTV’s evening programming includes a variety of content, including local government and school board meetings and a variety of public events in the 6:30 to 9 p.m. time slot weeknights.

WBRT’s audience can enjoy the station’s content on AM or FM radio, live streaming online, and via Hometown Television BRTV. Visit www.WBRTCountry.com or add the Tune In app to your smartphone or smartTV.
