Disorderly man evades police by fleeing into Pottershop Rd. woods
Thursday, July 10, 2014, 2:45 a.m. — A Bardstown area man was arrested late Tuesday night after police were called to the 5000 block of Pottershop Road for a report of a disorderly subject at that address.
Police were called to respond at 9:46 p.m. Tuesday. Witnesses said the man apparently was under the influence of alcohol or other intoxicants, and made threats to a person at the home if police were called. When police responded, the man — who had been outside the home — ran off into the nearby woods. Additional police units were called to the scene and the search continued for about 90 minutes. He was located and arrested at about midnight Tuesday on charges of public intoxication on controlled substances excluding alcohol. He was lodged in the Nelson County Jail.
