Obituary: Joseph Harold Downs, 72, Bardstown

Joseph Harold Downs, 72, of Bardstown, died Wednesday, July 17, 2014, at his home. He was a native of Nelson funeral_doveCounty and a retired employee of Brown and Williamson Tobacco Co.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Lee and Mary Ethel O’Daniel Downs; one sister, Rose Kidwell; and three brothers, Leroy Downs, Harry T. Downs, and Ronnie Downs.

He is survived by two sisters, Wanda (Robert) Neal and Ann Downs (Robert Hutchinson), both of Bardstown; and two brothers, C.A. (Dorothy) Downs of Bardstown, and Joseph Billy Downs.

Cremation was chosen by the family. There will be no public visitation or memorial service.

The Houghlin Greenwell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
