Man injured Friday night in altercation at New Hope bar

Saturday, July 26, 2014, 1 a.m. — A 23-year-old man was injured Friday night after he was cut outside the Four Corners Bar in New Hope in an altercation with another man. Nelson County EMS and two sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to a report that a man was stabbed outside the bar at about 11:45 p.m. Witnesses told 911 dispatchers that the alleged perpetrator left the scene in a Chevy pickup truck.
EMS transported the victim to the New Hope ballpark where he was transferred to a medical helicopter. He was flown from the scene to University of Louisville Hospital with a 15 to 20-inch cut across his abdomen. The Nelson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the incident.
