Obituary: Margie Christine Stivers, 81, Bardstown

Margie Christine Stivers, 81, of Bardstown, died Thursday, July 24, 2014, at her residence. She was born April 3, 1933, in Mount Washington. She was a 42-year employee of Vic-Tone Cleaners and a member of the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Louie Graves; her second husband, Jake Stivers; her parents, Edward and Mae Carroll Weaver; three sisters; and two brothers.

She is survived by two sons, Robert Ray (Karen) Graves of Kansas City, Mo., Lee A. Graves of Bardstown; one sister, Florence (Jimmy) Hickman of Bardstown; one brother, Eddie Lee Weaver of Mount Washington; nine grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

The funeral is 1 p.m. Tuesday, July 29, 2014, at the Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home with burial in the Bardstown Cemetery. The Rev. Calvin Holloway will officiate.

Visitation is 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Tuesday, July 29, 2014, at the Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home.
