Firefighters respond to burning port-a-john reported on East Muir

Saturday, July 26, 2014, 9:50 p.m. — The Bardstown Fire Department was called to the rear of Foster Heights Elementary, 211 East Muir, for a report of a portable toilet on fire Saturday night. Bardstown Police and firefighters were dispatched to the school at about 8:54 p.m. Saturday. Firefighters found that toilet paper had been set ablaze, the portable toilet wasn’t seriously damaged. A witness who reported the fire told dispatchers the fire was set by a group of juveniles. Firefighters were on scene for about 10 minutes.
