Obituary: Adolph Benjamin Hilpp Jr., Lebanon
Adolph Benjamin Hilpp Jr., of Lebanon, died Saturday, July 26, 2014, at Ephraim McDowell Hospital in Danville. He was a W.W. II veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of the Marion County V.F.W. He was former co-owner of Hilpp’s Restaurant and worked as a pari-mutuel clerk at Keeneland and Churchill Downs for 45 years. He was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church.
Survivors include his best friend and former wife, Frances Cravens Hilpp of Lebanon; two daughters, Patricia (Ed) Hays and Barbara D. Hilpp, both of Danville; two sons, John Kenneth Hilpp of Louisville and Paul Freddie (Jill Rucker) Hilpp of Lebanon; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
The Mass of Christian Burial is 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 30, 2014, at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Lebanon.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, July 29, 2014, at Bosley Funeral Home.
