Lydian files for city council, Hardin files for Fairfield commission

Monday, Aug. 4, 2014, 8:30 p.m. – Bardstown City Councilman Francis Lydian is the third incumbent council member to file or re-election in the November general election. Lydian filed his candidacy paperwork Monday afternoon at the Nelson County Clerk’s office.

Lydian is the sixth candidate to file for the six seats on the Bardstown City Council. He joins incumbent councilmen Bobby Simpson and Roland “Coach Roe” Williams, and Robert “Bobby” Augustine, Richard Nest, and Kecia Copeland as candidates seeking one of the six council seats.

Councilman Tommy Reed has announced he will not seek another term on the council.

FAIRFIELD COMMISSION. Donald R. Hardin filed Monday to keep his seat as one of four members of the Fairfield City Commission. Hardin is the first Fairfield commission incumbent to file for office.

The deadline to file for non-partisan races on the November 4 ballot is 4 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 12.
