New fall election filers include former city councilman Fred Hagan

Tuesday, Aug. 5, 2014, 12:05 p.m. — Two additional candidates have filed for seats on the Bardstown City Council, including a former councilman.

Terry Wayne Cantrell of North Third Street filed Tuesday for a seat on the Bardstown City Council. Former councilman Fred Hagan also filed Tuesday for council. Hagan’s last term on the council ended at the end of 2012, and he elected not to run again.

So far, eight candidates have filed for the six council seats, with three of those incumbents, and one former officeholder. The deadline to file for office is 4 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2014.
