Election 2014: Local candidates face 4 p.m Aug. 12 filing deadline

Wednesday, Aug. 6, 2014. 8:55 p.m. — Additional candidates have entered local non-partisan races for the Nov. 4 electionthemegeneral election ballot in Nelson County.

Paul J. Keiner and Shirly Mattingly filed Tuesday as candidates for one of the four seats on the Fairfield City Commission. Mattingly is the second incumbent to file for the commission; incumbent Donald R. Hardin filed his candidacy paperwork at the county clerk’s office on Monday.

NEW HAVEN COMMISSION. So far two candidates have filed for one of four seats on the New Haven City Commission.

Jane Masse and Chris Cecil filed as candidates in February.

BLOOMFIELD CITY COUNCIL & MAYOR. As of Wednesday morning, no candidates have filed yet for mayor or city council of Bloomfield.

The deadline to file as a candidate on the November ballot is 4 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2014.
