Obituary: Obie Slater, 85, Lebanon

Obie Slater, 85, of Lebanon, died Wednesday, Aug. 6, 2014, at the Village of Lebanon. He was born March 24, 1929, in Mississippi. He was a member of the First Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Len and Nellie Braxton Slater.

Survivors include one son, Todd Anderson of Lebanon; one daughter, Gail Napier of Lebanon; Karen Lane; and three grandchildren.

The funeral is 2 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2014, at the First Baptist Church of Lebanon officiated by the Rev. Tommy Calhoun. Burial will follow in Ryder Cemetery.

Visitation 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2014, at the church.

The Bosley Funeral Home in Lebanon is in charge of arrangements.
