City taking part next Wednesday in state’s mosquito spraying program

Friday, Aug. 8, 2014, 5:45 p.m. –– Bardstown Mayor Bill Sheckles’ office announced Friday that the city will participate next week in the Kentucky Department of Agriculture mosquito spraying program.
The city will be sprayed for mosquitoes Wednesday evening from 9:30 p.m. to midnight.
The pesticide the state program uses is called Duet, manufactured by Clarke Mosquito Control Products.
Residents who want their neighborhood treated should call (502) 348-5947 ext 2239 and leave your name and street address if you would like your neighborhood treated. Residents would like to opt out of being sprayed should also call.
City Hall will take calls Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
