Obituary: Benny Gene Tungate, 83, Lebanon

Benny Gene Tungate, 83, of Lebanon, died Sunday, Aug. 10, 2014, at Cedars of Lebanon. He was a retired employee of Jane and Linda Sportswear.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edgar Lee and Maude Ellen Marcum Tungate; one son, Gary Gene Tungate; two sisters, Marty Whitehouse and Lottie Whitehouse; and one brother, Junior Tungate.

Survivors include three sons, David Tungate, Stephen Tungate, and Lonnie Tungate, all of Lebanon; one daughter, Diane Spalding of Lebanon; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

The funeral is 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 13, 2014, at Bosley Funeral Home with the Rev. Millard Tungate officiating. Burial is in the Holy Name of Mary Church Cemetery.

Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2014, at the funeral home.

The Bosley Funeral Home in Lebanon is in charge of arrangements.
