Teen injured Tuesday morning in 2-vehicle crash on Woodlawn Road

Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2014, 9 a.m. — A 17-year-old girl was injured Tuesday morning in a two-vehicle crash on Woodlawn Road near Freeman Avenue. At 8:09 a.m., Nelson County Dispatch sent police, fire and Nelson County EMS to a reported injury accident involving a Toyota passenger car and a Nissan four-wheel-drive pickup. Initial reports indicated one victim may have been trapped in a vehicle, however the occupants were out of the vehicles when police arrived. The teen was transported to Flaget Memorial Hospital with complaints of chest pain. A second person involved in the crash refused transport by EMS.
