Wednesday, Aug. 13, 2014 — There’s a new political talk show in town that will focus on more than the differences in political parties. “Bradford & Brooks,” airing 11 to noon every Wednesday on WBRT Radio, will give listeners more than just talking points about the day’s issues.

Host Margie Bradford and Jim Brooks will share their political views as well as those of special guests, candidates for office, and local “movers & shakers” who get involved in our community and get things done. The show isn’t just about political differences, but also about the difference people can make when they agree to collaborate to accomplish a common goal.

Margie Bradford, a lifelong Democrat, has served since 1998 as the chairman of the Nelson County Democratic Executive Committee. She spent 34 years as an elected public office as a member of the Bardstown Independent School’s board of education. She also has served on numerous education committees as well an officer of both state and national school board associations.

Brooks is a Republican who spent most of his life as a registered Democrat, and is editor of The Nelson County Gazette. His radio career began eight years ago on WBRT as co-host with former station owner Kenny Fogle when “Brooks & Ken” was launched in July 2006.

Tune in “Bradford & Brooks,” 11 to noon on 97.1 FM, 1320 AM WBRT Radio, or watch the show live on BRTV, Bardstown cable TV ch. 19, or the video replay Wednesday evenings after 7 p.m.
