MARION CECELIA ‘MIMI’ TONG THOMAS
Marion Cecelia “Mimi” Tong Thomas, 81, of Lebanon, died Wednesday, Aug. 13, 2014. She was born Nov. 15, 1932, in Bardstown to the late Charles and Cecelia Mattingly Tong. She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel B. Thomas; two sisters, Josephine “Jo” Tong Leathers and Mary Agnes Tong Byrnes; and one brother, Charles “Buddy” Tong.
Survivors include two daughters, Karen (Jerry) Lentz and Patti (Brad) Smith, both of Louisville; two sons, Sam (Patty) Thomas, Jr., of Franklin, Tenn., and Doug Thomas of Lebanon; and five grandchildren. The family would like to thank the wonderful caregivers at Masonic Home and Fresenius Dialysis Center for the loving care and support.
The Mass of Christian Burial is 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2014, at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Lebanon, with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Monday, Aug. 18, 2014, at the funeral home with a prayer service at 7 p.m.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to St. Augustine Catholic School in Lebanon or the Kentucky Humane Society.
The Bosley Funeral Home in Lebanon is in charge of arrangements.
