Bardstown woman killed in crash on KY245 near Jim Beam distillery

Thursday, Aug. 21, 2014, 11 p.m. — A Bardstown woman is dead following a crash on KY 245 just outside the Jim Beam Distillery complex.
According to the Bullitt County Coroner, Samantha Snider Greenwell, 29, of Bardstown, died after she pulled from Happy Hollow Road into the path of a dump truck just before 5:30 p.m. Thursday evening.
Both lanes of KY 245 were closed for 4-1/2 hours while police investigated the accident. The roadway re-opened at about 10 p.m.
Greenwell was a 2004 graduate of Nelson County High School and an employee of the Happy Hollow Cafe at the Jim Beam Distillery.
Funeral arrangements are still pending.
