Obituary: Samantha Jean ‘Sam’ Greenwell, 29, of Bardstown

SAMANTHA JEAN ‘SAM’ GREENWELL

Samantha Jean “Sam” Greenwell, 29, of Bardstown, died Thursday, Aug. 21, 2014, as a result of an accident on KY 245 in Bullitt County. She was the former Samantha Jean Snider, a 2004 graduate of Nelson County High School. She was an employee of Callahans Catering at the Happy Hollow Café located at Jim Beam Distillery at Clermont. She was a member of the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by her father, Bill Snider; two brothers, Jonathan Paul Snider and Tony Snider; and her grandparents, Junior and Betty Rutledge and Paul Ray and Alice Snider.

She is survived by her husband, Jason Greenwell; two daughters, Emma Buckman of Fairfield, and Jasmine Greenwell of Bardstown; her mother, Donna Rutledge Snider of Bloomfield, as well as several aunts and uncles.

The funeral is 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2014, from the Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home in Bardstown with burial in the Maple Grove Cemetery in Bloomfield.

Visitation is 5-8 p.m. Monday, Aug. 25, 2014, and noon-8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 26, 2014, at the funeral home.

The Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home in Bardstown is in charge of arrangements.
