Obituary: Jim Crenshaw, 76, Bardstown

JIM CRENSHAW

Jim Crenshaw, 76, of Bardstown, died Tuesday, Aug. 26, 2014, at his home. He was born April 17, 1938, in Nelson County. He retired from Jim Beam Brands Distillery and was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. He was a member of Mill Creek Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Theodore and Lucy Crenshaw; one sister, Laura Sweitzer Coomes; and one brother, William T. “Bill” Crenshaw.

He is survived by his wife, Rhoda Jean Crenshaw of Bardstown; two sons, Dennis (Kathy) Caldwell and Danny (Julie) Caldwell, both of Woodlawn; three brothers, David Crenshaw of Bardstown, Eddie Crenshaw of Bloomfield, and John Crenshaw of Louisville; three grandchildren, Kaitlin Caldwell, Jessica Caldwell, and Johnnie Caldwell; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral is 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 30, 2014, at Barlow Funeral Home with burial in Mill Creek Baptist Cemetery with the Rev. Leland Parks officiating.

Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 29, 2014, and 9-11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 30, 2014, at Barlow Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may go to donor’s favorite charity.

Barlow Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
