Obituary: Charles Kenneth Campbell, 86, Lebanon
Charles Kenneth Campbell, 86, of Lebanon, died Tuesday, Aug. 26, 2014, with his loving family at his bedside. He was born May 17, 1928, to his late parents, Eugene and Flora Campbell.
He was a farmer who got up early every morning and was ready to go. He never had a job he didn’t like. He loved his wife and never complained. He began working at the age 13 with his brother Garland in the 1940’s. From 1941 to 2010, Charles worked at the Burley Warehouse, putting in 69 years. He will be greatly missed by his family.
He was preceded in death by three sisters, Fayrene Hays, Mayola Young and Evelyn Jarboe; and one brother, Garland Campbell.
Survivors include his loving wife of 63, Alice Elder Campbell of Lebanon; one son, Kenneth Terry (Betty) Campbell of Lebanon; three grandchildren, Renee Campbell, Wendy (Eric) Thompson and Scott Campbell, all of Lebanon; and four great-grandchildren, Collin Johnson, Madison Johnson, Maci Thompson and Kendall Thompson.
The funeral is 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 29, 2014, at Bosley Funeral Home, officiated by Dr. David Whitlock and assisted by the Rev. Jim Graf. Burial is in St. Charles Church Cemetery.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 28, 2014, at the funeral home.
