Fallen rock Friday night blocks part of Springfield Road at Burg Hill

Saturday, Sept. 13, 2014, 12:30 a.m. — The Nelson County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of boulders in the roadway on US150, Springfield Road at Burg Hill, at about 11:35 p.m. Friday night. A boulder described as about 4 feet long and 3 feet talk had fallen into the roadway. A deputy stayed on scene until a heavy equipment from the Kentucky Department of Transportation could move the rock out of the highway. The roadway was partly blocked for about an hour.
