Teenager taken to hospital after apparent prescription overdose

Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2014, 12:50 a.m. — Nelson County EMS and police were dispatched to the Methodist church campus in the area of the 5000 block of Louisville Road Monday night about 10 p.m. for a report of a 14-year-old male teen who had possibly taken as many as 10 30 mg doses of the prescription medicine Paxil. The teen’s mother was with him when police and EMS arrived. The teen was transported to Flaget Memorial Hospital for evaluation.
