Obituary: Wilburn Tessie ‘Jockie’ Boley Jr., 69, New Haven

Wilburn Tessie “Jockie” Boley Jr., 69, of New Haven, died Saturday, Sept. 20, 2014, at his home. He was born Jan. 19, funeral_dove1945, in Louisville.

He was the son of the late Wilburn Tessie Boley Sr. and Sophie Christine Baker Boley. He retired as a truck driver for Winn-Dixie after 40 years of service. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend to all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Charles Samuel “Bo” Boley.

Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Frances Elois Harbin Boley of New Haven; one daughter, Paula Yvonne Alford (Glenn) of Mount Washington; one son, Anthony Todd Boley (Eligh Anne) of Shepherdsville; his mother, Sophie Christine Baker Boley of Louisville; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild due anytime now; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The funeral is 3 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2014, at St. Catherine of Alexandria Catholic Church in New Haven with the Rev. Troy Overton officiating. Burial is in the church cemetery.

Visitation is 2-8 p.m. Monday, Sept. 22, 2014, and noon-2:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2014, at the William R. Rust Funeral Home, 167 N. Main St., New Haven.

The William R. Rust Funeral Home in New Haven is in charge of the arrangements.
