Burnt food leads to active fire alarm at Bardstown nursing home

fireshieldWednesday, Sept. 24, 2014, 7:05 a.m. — The Bardstown Fire Department responded to an active alarm reported at Life Care Center of Bardstown, 120 Life Care Way at 6:55 Wednesday morning. While the fire department command vehicle was responding to the facility, a 911 call reported the alarm was false and the fire department was not needed. The cause of the alarm was burnt toast in a toaster oven.
