Obituary: Robert ‘Bobby’ Cox, 75, Bardstown
Robert “Bobby” Cox, 75, of Bardstown, died Thursday, Sept. 25, 2014, at his home. He was born Feb. 7, 1939 in Fairfield. He was a retired dairy manager for Barlow Farms and a member of Mill Creek Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his two sons, Joe Cox and Eddie Cox; his parents, Robert and Laura Ethel Cox; and three sisters, Mary Ethel Hilbert, Dorothy Ann Nalley and Janie Chesser.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Helen Riley Cox of Bardstown; two daughters, Kaye (Paul) White of Willisburg and Laura (Lester) Bryant of St. Francis; two sons, Bobby (Stacey) Cox and Allen (Linda) Cox, both of Bardstown; two sisters, Nancy Cahoe of Bardstown and Lois Gordon of Fairfield; two brothers, Joe Cox of Bardstown and Billy Ray Cox of Mount Washington; 16 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
The funeral is 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 27, 2014, at Barlow Funeral Home. Burial is at Mill Creek Baptist Cemetery at a later date.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 26, 2014, and 9-11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 27, 2014, at the funeral home.
